embracingthorns asked: Saw The Hunger Games last night and its pretty bad ass. Honestly, I haven't seen Battle Royale so I can't make a comparison for you, but, as someone who loved the books and was going into it critical, I wasn't disappointed. They didn't skimp on the carnage and jen lawrence gives a great performance.

Anonymous asked: thg isn't actually much like battle royale, aside from the fact that teenagers kill each other. gawker, or perhaps jezebel, has a good article about it.

Oh my god, the amount of people angry over the fact The Hunger Games is a “Battle Royale for Twilight fans”, CRYING. It’s putting me off seeing it so much, hahahaha. I will eventually see this film, just, uh…gonna wait till everyone is over it first. Maybe in a few years. Hahahaha, but people are amazing. Oh Christ, yeah: I can’t tell you guys what I’ve been...

I have big things happening to me, which means that my time on tumblr is becoming less and less frequent. I’m never going to leave you fabulous people, but if you see me not coming online as much; that’s why.  I love you guys. Keep being awesome. I’ll update you when I have more time to update you on developments!

If it helps for people freaking out over books being made into films, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is being directed by the author himself, Stephen Chbosky.

panickat123 replied to your post: Wow. Martha Marcy May Marlene was amazing. There… i loved it too! though is the ending suppose to cut like that or did i get a bad download? It was supposed to end like that, yeah which annoyed a lot of people hahahaha. Loved it.

Wow. Martha Marcy May Marlene was amazing. There needs to be more films like this on the effect cults can have on people. Damn. I can’t get over how good Elizabeth Olsen was in it.

Rihanna might possibly be the dumbest popstar who makes the catchiest music ever to exist. Why would you want to get back with a guy who beat you up twice? Where is her support group and why hasn’t she gotten all the help she needs to learn to stay away from the damaged male who clearly has issues? And more to the point; why are her fans defending Chris Brown and sending DEATH THREATS to...

coenbrosbeforehos: People who claim The Tree of Life wasn’t about anything and was boring make me so sad What makes it so brilliant is that it’s so incredibly open to interpretation - after talking to loads of people about it on Tumblr and Twitter, I haven’t found two views of the film that are exactly alike. It’s about fatherhood, about growing up, about skepticism of faith, about reassurance...

I just finished watching Se7en!  Ugh, well. You can see for yourself the star rating I gave it. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Why would you even make a film like it? WHY? Ugh go to hell David Fincher. Go to hell.

movieslivewithinme replied to your post: Wow, I never thought a film starring Matt Damon,… I believe Haywire by Soderbergh would be considered worse in my opinion. I’m not even going to attempt to see that, based on what I’ve heard about it.

Wow, I never thought a film starring Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne and Jude Law would be THAT bad. I just finished watching Contagion and updated my movies 2012 list with The Woman in Black and Gladiator. WOO!
