Honestly, I haven't seen Battle Royale so I can't make a comparison for you, but, as someone who loved the books and was going into it critical, I wasn't disappointed. They didn't skimp on the carnage and jen lawrence gives a great performance.

Oh my god, the amount of people angry over the fact The Hunger Games is a “Battle Royale for Twilight fans”, CRYING. It’s putting me off seeing it so much, hahahaha.
